you know the adults/kids who are trying to raise money for this or that?
if not, what is your go to saying when confronted?

They irritate me. I just say no thanks and move on.

If it is for a non profit and i have a dollar or two, sure.
If it's for their travel team, i tell them to eat shite and die.

Depends, are they offering cookies?

salvation army, sports clubs, etc yes, i'll give them a fin.
I remember how bad it sucked, playing sports and having to sell shite to people.
And when you do it at the local grocery stores, they will match the cash you bring in. So win win for everyone

I give to travel teams. Many years ago i was the little turd outside of Walmart asking for a few bucks with my team.
Sounds like someone wasn't good enough to make the travel team^

I usually just pick up some fig newtons and give them those on my way out.
if they don't want fig newtons they are scum and deserve death

Only if it's a recognizable organization (Salvation Army, Toys for Tots, etc.).
And definitely not if they approach me while I'm getting in or out of my car.

I just say, "no thank you" politely and keep waking
I already give to organizations that I strongly feel for.

only if they're offering a service in return. ie a bake sale, car wash, BBQ plate lunches, etc.
if not, they can frick right off and stop asking for handouts

depends on who the organization is. Tractor supply in my area is the worst when it comes to this. There is usually someone selling something outside every time I have to pick up dog food. I did purchase a card from the Boy Scouts the last time because it had some pretty good discount at some store I frequent. I will by a bag of food for the animal shelter when they are out there, but I don't give them money.

Nah, we just had legit sponsors for our AAU.
We didn't panhandle so mom and dad could stay in the holiday inn with us for free.

No I do not, irritates the shite out of me,standing out there pestering people for money. I just say..nope! The one that gets me also is the people who walk up to your window at a red light wagging a cut in half milk jug full of change asking you to "help da team"

Usually I only give to the red kettle. I normally don't have much cash on me but I make sure to have a few ones at Christmas time.
The people that irratate me are the ones hanging out by the red lights with their buckets, walking up to car window.
A couple of years ago, a baseball team helped bag the groceries at the Winn Dixie and take them out to your car for you and unload them for a tip. I thought that was pretty cool and better than just asking for donations.

I used to get some bootleg rap CDs from a dude out front of a store that had good fried chicken. He just disappeared. They even painted his picture on the side of the store.
