If so, do you retire at before dark or show the colors 24/7?

Only one of these guys... usually during the Summer before the LSU one goes back up.

And it's out there 24/7 during that time.

If your flag is out at night I hope you have a spot light on it. If not, you should take it down and put it back up in the morning.

24/7 hanging off the balcony rail. I leave the light on all night.

Is that virtue-signaling?

Yes, it's become a real pain in the arse though having to kneel every time I enter or exit the house

Flag out front, flag yard banner that reads "proud to be an American", bought a new one for the office since the old one got taken in the storm. So yes, yes I do.

July 4th.
11/11.

My dads birthday.
Two silver stars, countless bronze, distinguished flying, for normandy. 82nd airborne glider pilot, 26 day missions over italy.
He was born on halloween.
My grandfather was Commodore of the North atlantic fleet of merchant marine. 12/25.
Ship sunk. He and 3 guys survived in life raft 3 weeks before fleet came by and noticed them. He was quite a guy.
So, yes.
