What do I mean?

Well, many people I know are suffering, either from an serious illness, death in family, divorce, loss of job, loss of a pet, depression, problems with their children, and so on...

I feel blessed, things are going, no complaints really, but I certainly don't feel immune to life's challenges or something tragic happening...

I know of a family that recently lost their 32 year old daughter and 2 grand kids and son in law in a car wreck mother's day weekend. Just horrible news of the worst kind That's just 1 of many situations...

when you watch the cable news, we see tragedy stuff all the time, it's almost a movie because we're not connected to these people in the news but, when it hits someone you know, it's like dang, "that could be us, and why did that happen?"

I used to but I realized there's no point in fearing what I cannot control

Just soak up the present, have faith and spread love

Premonition, the fear of something tragic that feels real. Happens sometimes, but I don't dwell on what has't occured.

The stuff you worry about never happens in my experience - it's the bad shite you never even thought about that appears one day at your doorstep.

I don't really think about bad things till they happen usually try to stay positive but a friend of mine has suffered lately, got married, bought some land a single wide trailer till they could build their house. He came home awhile back only thing left was a lawnmower shed a front porch and a roll tide doormat, she had their home moved that day to a trailer park, no note or anything lol

No. I normally know where my SO is in the house from all the loud noises.

in 2009, two weeks before my college graduation, I had an extremely happy family, lived the life in college, parents owned their own business, everyone was care free. My mother had a massive stroke at midnight on a friday in April. My life changed instantly and I didn't even know it yet. The worst part about it, it didn't kill her. She was paralyzed on her right side and also lost her ability to speak (and later the ability to understand speech). For three years. She was in her own prison. And my dad was her own caretaker (unreal man).

I had to watch her suffer when I couldn't do a thing. Business was lost (my parents ran it). Financials wasn't a problem, but mentalities were. Everytime I went home (which was a lot), I worried of finding them both dead (double suicide). But I didn't. Mom eventually passed, dad developed cancer three years later and passed.

I told you that to tell you this regarding your question: suffering might be around the corner, but nothing that you cannot fight through. Am I happier now? No. Am I happy everyday? I try to be. But we all die. Life happens. Life sorta sucks. But life can be awesome. No need to worry about the unknown. Wake up tomorrow being happy.

Bad stuff happens to everyone.
As bad as I sometimes think things are, I realize that I am probably more fortunate than 99.99+ percent of the people on this planet.

That's what helps me sleep at night.

Sooner or lster life will kick you hard in the teeth.

The only real question is how will you perservere when tested?

when I was young, the thought never crossed my mind. as I get older, I start to think of losing loved ones pretty frequently. not really afraid of myself dying at all, though.
