Do you donate to Wikipedia?

Wikipedia is begging for cash again. Do you donate? Frankly, I wouldn't mind them putting a few ads on the side of the page, if it meant they wouldn't be asking me for money every few months.

Agreed. Given the popularity of the site, I bet it wouldn't take more than one or two ads from high-profile companies to cover not only current expenses, but also expansion/innovation. Seems like the giant banners of begging is more intrusive and less effective monetarily than a couple of ads.

I don't give a crap about ads, adding a few to Wikipedia wouldn't lessen my experience going there in the tiniest bit.

I just gave them $50 about two months ago, and now I get e-mails hitting me up all the time. I used it pretty frequently and think it's a great free resource for the world to have, so I'll probably stick with giving them $50 a year. I like giving money to things I believe in.

The only time an ad has ever annoyed me is if it pops up or if it plays sound.
Otherwise, some ad on the side of the page doesn't bother me.
