Do you consider Texas to be a "southern" state?

I tend to consider states such as; Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama,Georgia,Virginia, and South Carolina to be southern.

You're missing a couple there.

East Texas, though Texas did send 90,000 men to the Confederate Army

Geographically - yes. Culturally - no.

Texas is on the 3rd coast, so yes I do.

I consider it northwestern imho tbh.

For the most part, yes.
Oklahomans want to be southern so much, but I can't consider them as such.

Thus they're Southern.
(Don't we have this same thread about either Texas or Virginia at least a couple times a month?)

The state as a whole? Definitely. Some cities are more so than others. I think most Texans share similar values as the rest of the south, but they are probably more different than any of the other southern states are from each other.

Yes.
If southern Florida is still considered a part of the American South moreso than northern Cuba, then east Texas is most definitely part of the South.

East Texas is the most "southern" part of the state.
The Panhandle is more Midwestern than anything else. And South Texas is essentially Mexico Norte.

Mark a line starting north of Tyler and go down to somewhere between Houston and Beaumont. East of that line is part of The South, west is not.

bullshite. Houston, Beaumont, and Dallas are Southern cities through and through.

No. Louisiana and Texas are not southern states. Both pale in comparison to the genteel south of Georgia and North/South Carolina

I guess you could potentially call them southern, but they damn sure aren't "The South"
