Do women in your office ever cry at the workplace?

I'm not talking about something that happens in their personal life that they can't block out, I mean cattiness and emotions during the work process.
Is this something that is common in offices across the USA?

yeah, I have seen it a few times. One of the lady that works for me always seems she is about to lose it. its really unsettling for me.
eta: i have seen men cry at work. one guy got laid off and he LOST it. Screaming, yelling, and crying. The really fricked up the process as they made him pack his desk right after he was told he was laid off.

In my career I've seen women cry a lot more than men during poor performance reviews, coaching/disciplinary discussions. It makes it difficult to have constructive discussions with them.

This is what I'm seeing. It's not even "discipline" so much as, why isn't this getting done properly? Seems a few of them here have trouble coping.

Yes...all the damn time! Not out in general population, but they run to the bosses office (i.e. me) to whine and cry about their co-workers, or their bad week, or their home, yada, yada, yada...
I don't care

I've seen it but it was usually about personal things outside of work. Our office has about 4 women out of 10 sales people and they are usually pretty strong and ruthless when it comes to work things.

At least once every couple of months. For the record, there are only three men on my floor and about 43 women.
ETA: Gets me pretty pissed off when women come to the office emotional. You know they are coming in not to work, but simply get attention.

I've cried at work many times before
But it was because of stuff going on with my patients(ex: caring for a child that was in a car accident calling out for their mommy and not knowing yet that the mother died in the accident because the family was waiting for the right moment to tell them).

Yeah, that'll do it. That's rough.

My too-nice GF does probably once a month. Work shite should never make you cry. Unless it's worry about losing job and providing for family, gotta let that shite slide.
This is her first job after college though. I give her slack... or she'll frickin cry.

Younger girl in the front office where I used to work would cry once every month or two. Usually due to her supervisors' terrible management skills and criticism. This girl is one of the hardest workers at the place but catch the managers on a bad day and you could feel like you'd lose your job for the dumbest shite.
