Do fast food workers get a commission for upsized meals?

If the lady at the drive through convinces me to turn my regular single patty into a large double patty with bacon and cheese, why shouldn't she share in this windfall? If they ask me the right way, I may even order a slice of pie.

They don't get money but the manager will look the other way when the prep guy slaps his dong on 1 out of every 10 burgers or dips it in 1 our of every 5 shakes.

Should we really be providing a financial incentive to workers who are encouraging the ever-growing obesity problem in this country?

You know there's a reason why fast food restaurants put their dream team employees out front dealing with customers, and the slow learners get to work in the back dealing with all of the heat and the grease. They're more presentable and you're less likely to refuse their offers to upgrade.

They do. I have worked at all 5 big fast food places and we got big bonuses for upsizes.

I'm retired now.

This

They're also told to ask if you want fries, which are a big profit margin item like drinks
