I roll in looking for gun deals from time to time. Sometimes you find a gem but most of the time not.

I always step in and look around....but in general, they are totally overpriced. pawn shop owners are shysters by their nature, so they are not going to willingly give you a good deal...

pawn shops are great if you're looking to buy something stolen. The items have a story unlike bland shite at Walmart.

I'll look for music equipment sometimes. Stomp boxes mainly.

I like getting used games from the pawn shop for a few bucks that are worth $ at GS and go trade them for more at GS towards new games and get them for cheaper. Also I might pick up a Blue Ray for 2$ here or there.

went to one Monday as they had a big auction. I walked around and looked at the items that were for sale but not part of the auction, overpriced as hell.

Yep, you gotta haggle and if you don't get your price leave. I've gotten some really good deals over the years from pawn shops.

The internet/eBay killed the days of finding deals at pawn shops

That's dishonest.

My cousin owns a few shops. He does well. I always stop by when I'm in the area. I've bought most of my guns and tvs from him. His places are pretty nice.

I like to go look at the engagement rings and think how happy the people were when they got them.

Bet they're not so smug now.

Does he wear a gold pinky ring and look like actor Dennis Franz?

I'll buy lawn tools and some drills there. The way I look at it, it was in working condition when the crook stole it so it must work.....at 1/3 of the price.

i always think their stuff is way overpriced considering its visible condition and the risk of what you can't see. I have only checked them a few times for guns and happened to see the other crap in there.

Most of the pawn shops I've been to sell pretty much everything at full retail price. It is really ridiculous that people even purchase things there when you can just buy them new. Although, it is possible to stumble on a good deal/unique item on rare occasions.
