Do any of work in tech support and/or telecommute?

I'd really like to get a job in some type of computer/software/electronics tech support but I don't wanna move... To India, or any other place for that matter. I have a solid background in performing IT work and learn softwares easily and am good at helping others with them, but really don't know how to go about finding a job in that market where I wouldn't have to move.
Flex jobs has a lot listed, but you have to pay a considerable fee to sign up to their site and I don't know if they are really legit or not.

most every ocmpany of any size has an IT support guy or two roaming the halls to deal with daily issues....is there noting like that available in your area?...

I don't really want to do the hardware side of IT. I'd like to do more of the software support end. And no, this area isn't really doesn't have any places that do that.

Healthcare IS consulting has a lot of remote work. The issue is getting certs, which are often very expensive if your employer doesn't pay. Once you get your foot in the door and get the certs, opportunities are plentiful.

Where do you want to live? Some oil companies have call centers for their IT departments.

Where I live now, in northwest alabama. I saw a job working for apple giving tech support, gonna try to apply for it tomorrow.
