The Elephant in the room is the Baw’s making bad decisions and marrying and having kids with the wrong women. But it’s all the slanted court systems fault.

Right?

Baws make bad decisions and take the first offramp when the road gets bumpy, or herpes.

So because they married the wrong woman, she gets primary custody? Your post doesn't make an sense.

No, but seems like all the Baws know the courts are slanted, seems like more of an incentive to not make such a ban initial decision. With a couple shitheads to boot after to double down on the bad decision.

that is the interesting thing: do these baws not see the warning signs?

or do these baws ignore the warning signs and get married anyway because "thats what they're supposed to do?"

we did have the one baw pathetically admit he always needed to be in a relationship, which is quite sad.

For those who want more custody than they have, what are the reasons you received less time?

BF’s ex tried fighting 50/50 custody, but ultimately didn’t have a leg to stand on. It took several trips to court, but her BS reasons were baseless. It took persistence and a good attorney, but it wasn’t hard.

Well, I know a ne’er do well POS who never gave a dime to his daughter, had his momma and ex wife raise her and was hardly ever around. Now the insincere turd will say he loves her and she always craved that and listens to it. grrrrrrrrrrr. I fart in his general direction.....

Look man, just because we fricked on the first night we met at the bar doesn’t mean she isn’t a wonderful woman

She just had a rough childhood with her abusive father and her mom always having a new boyfriend every weekend

I'm locked in a custody battle at this time. Custody is being forced upon me,which I don't think is right. You know, if you don't want the responsibility of children, you should be able to walk away and apparently a couple of my ex-wives don't feel the same.

That's a true statement, but a complete different topic from OP. OP basically stated you're a bad dad if you don't come home to your kids every night. However, he later admitted the truth being that he couldn't handle it. That's just one of those things that you can't really imagine yourself in the situation until it happens and it's ignorant to speak poorly of others on something one knows nothing about.

As to your comment, someone making a bad decision doesn't mean they're a bad dad. I was young in my case and my child will be graduated high school before I turn 40. Never once have I looked at her as a bad decision. I have her 50/50 because we agreed to it without going to court. I did that because I knew the courts were not only slanted, but it would also cost a lot of money. The only people who win when there is a bad court battle for custody are the lawyers, and the ones who lose the most are the children.

My daughter calls me Daddy even though she lives with her mother. I really don't care what anyone else calls me.

Depends on the situation. Obviously the dads that get week on week off, or at least every other weekend, perhaps they live a few towns over is one thing. The dads who have teenagers and have only seen them 5 times in 8 years, and live 20 minutes away but blame their ex wife on not seeing them, those dads didn’t give a shite to begin with.

From Mother Theresa to Debbie of Dallas, mom's character has little to do with her getting custody, with the VERY rare exception in the state of La.

Your take is both ignorant and irrelevant.
Just like this thread.

But it does have to do with getting divorced in the first place.

SS is addressing the root of the problem all you trashy baws are facing.

learned a long time ago, don't judge until you've walked in those shoes. Which you obviously haven't. I'm divorced, fought for and finally got full custody of my son. Thankfully, I didn't have to deal with another man raising my son, but... I do know the courts are geared towards the Mother.

A judge and the police force the kids to live with mom and you can see them every so often. That is reality. Often has little to nothing to do with dad's desires or what is best for the child.

One of my best buds is going through a divorce, three kids. The wife works 80-90 hours a week. He raises the kids, gets them to school, gets them home from school, homework, etc. (He's a teacher).

Wife wants sole custody with unsupervised visitation. Judge looks like she is going to give it to her. Judge asked who would get the kids to school and home? She said she would hire someone. Judge is fine with that. Guess who's gonna end up paying for that?
