It'll be in Tampa for the next month. Is it as good as most people say?

I really enjoyed this play. Wish I would have not had seats in the balcony. Get seats closer up on the floor if you can.

If you loved the movie you will love the play. They do every song from the movie. The costumes are pretty amazing.

Yeah because only gay people like plays

The Lion King is awesome. For all ages. The costumes are legit as hell and everyone loves that music.

ETA:

I agree with above posters that you need to pick aisle seats on the floor. You'll be right up in the action.

I saw it several years ago and thought it was good. Cool costumes, and of course the story and songs are from the movie. If you liked the movie and you like (or at least don't dislike) Broadway style musicals go check it out.

My buddy is the director. Maybe the most successful guy I know from my younger days. Super happy for him. Anyway we are going see it Raleigh next month and he is getting my daughter and us back stage to meet the cast.
Can't wait. I've heard it's a great show for all ages.

I wore nice jeans and a button down but there were folks there with babies and casual clothes like t-shirts.

I think it depends on the venue.

I mean, yeah

Reading these comments sells it better than some goofy soccer mom writing "FUN FOR ALL AGES" on the theatre website. I really just wanted to know if it was more suited for kids or not.

Going to see it at 7:30 tonight

The Lion King is one of the best movies Disney ever made. Definetly the best of non-computer animation in probably last 40 years. (I often tell people that The Princess and the Frog is the best Disney drawn movie since the Lion King).

The play is better.
