Everyone has different ideas of fun. That stuff you just listed is not fun to me.

That's great that you appreciated but I'd say that renders you in a small % of kids. Hell, I really didn't appreciate Europe much when I visited in high school. I'm glad I was able to go years later in college when I was less concerned over stupid shite.

The fact that GN thinks you have to max out credit cards to visit WDW probably says more about his impoverished upbringing than anything else

You must be poor if you think you have to max out credit cards to take a vacation.

I will never understand you Disney freaks. I've been once. It's an oversized county fair with too many kids. The only magic that takes place is the money that disappears out of my wallet.

I couldn't agree more, but to each their own. Went this summer with wife, daughter, and daughter's friend (both 14 yo) and we'll never go back. Brutal lines. Way, way, too expensive for what you get. Even the girls are not interested in going back. Obviously a lot of people feel completely the opposite but I am at a loss as to why.

I went there once and it was enough. My daughter is invited to go there for dance team but we not going. My kids hated it. We went in the summer when lines were ridiculous and it was hotter than a forest fire.

Glad they didn't ger hit to hard though, I have a younger cousin working there, and overall the place is great for Florida.

I love how many people say that their kids hated it. When I was young, my family went to WDW with 3 other families. All the kids in the other families had a great time. The dads in those families did nothing but bitch and complain about the money, the lines, everything. A month after the trip, all of the kids suddenly said they hated it. Now as adults, all of those kids that hated it, bring their own families there fairly often.

It's awesome. They will see the top of the castle from a distance first and they will light up.

My kids wanted to stay at the hotel and swim. They both had a much better time at Seaworld, we didn't do Universal. That was 4 years ago, if I asked them today if they want to go back they would both say no.

we stayed in a disney resort, got the full meal plan and fast-passed the popular rides.

we got the parks early taking disney transporation (drug their little asses out of bed in time to get there for the day's openings) and hit lots of rides early before any kind of lines developed..then went back to the resort at like 11am when the crowds were getting bad to swim and relax.

went back to the park around 4pm as lots of tired/hot/grouchy people were pouring out and had a fantastic time until the fireworks were done.

rode the monorail home and did it again a couple days later.

kids absolutely loved it and dad didn't have a single bad experience the whole week. each day we did a different park; epcot, mgm, jungle park..same result each day.

2 days was plenty at WDW and we had the opportunity to hit the other parks as well.

i had made the meal reservations months ahead of time so there was no problem eating anywhere.

honestly i didn't feel it was that expensive..it was more than say our trip out west but we stayed with a variety of friends and the national parks were very inexpensive.

Most people don't plan their trip well enough. They basically just go and wander from line to line and miss everthing. Then they chose the worst counter service places and options.

Kids get tired and they continue to drag them along as they cry because the $45 an night motel in BFE takes too long to go to for a midday break.

Amateurs.

I was watching the radar the other day before they started turning that cone every direction. I saw a quick burst of energy come from the map just south of Orlando. I'm no meteorologist so I can't explain it but I'll be damned if the hurricane didn't start moving further west every update after that. If I get some time I'll put together a YouTube about it and see what everyone thinks.
