go..........

all I really care about is HD, ESPN's, SEC network and basic HD crap like spike, comedy central, ect

Also, I like the idea of the wireless hd box that way I can move it around from patio to kids room ect without paying 4 freaking hd box rentals/mo.

Dish Network. Better equipment, better pricing and better customer service than DirecTV.

However, Eatel provides the best local customer service and are my internet provider because they offer a fiber only network.

I only know Directv, so I am biased. HD quality is the best I've seen out there.

Eatel needs to get the wireless boxes like U-Verse, thought that was in the works

What is different or better about the equipment? and no way on the customer service. My wife is an ultra positive person, and even she disliked Dish's customer service.

Try dealing with DirecTV's customer service and you'll think you're receiving Marriott hospitality while on the phone with Dish Network.

Go read about the Hopper and Joey receivers. They run circles around my previous DirecTV equipment that I had. No delays on the menu guide when scrolling and all receivers | remotes are UHF, not IR like the majority of DTV receivers.

they have them. $7 more/mo. That beotch can be shuttled between the patio and the office to save $$$ vs. having a freaking set top box in every room in the house.

I see no reason why more than 2 people need to be watching HD in my house at the same time.

Eatel has the wireless boxes for $8 a month versus $7 for the standard boxes. Definitely worth the extra $1.

Had Direct TV and switched over to UVerse to a bundle for my internet and TV all in the same bill.

Never had a problem with either Direct or UVerse.

This hasn't been my experience at all. DirecTV customer service is far superior to Dish. In fact, it's probably the best I've ever dealt with, anywhere.

Glad this thread was started. I am interested myself. We have Cox and it is crapshoot whether or not we will come home to internet working or not. I have been looking for a good option to switch to for cable/internet bundle.

I wanted to go to U-verse but they do not offer it where i am. We are 3000 feet outside of the service area. That said, it leaves Dish Network or DirectTV. I'm old school so I just cant seem to shake the bad reputation that satellites carry. I know they have gotten better but that has been my hesitation.

I guess this thread will sway me to DirectTv or Dish because i can tell you i'm done with Cox.
