I believe that the funds are dedicated to coastal restoration/hurricane protection. That money better not get touched.

Also, one time funds are not the answer.

agreed. We need long term budget solutions. We have a bad habit of raiding rainy day funds and one time funds instead of holding ourselves accoutnable.

giving politicians 4billion is asking for a train wreck

they are clueless as to how to use it, and how to make $$$ of of of it, while they fund the areas needing to be funded.

Instead, they spend that shite, like it's on fire. funding bullshite stuff for donors, giving to stupid studies, groups, etc.

JBE is trying to use most of that money towards shoring up the state employees retirement system which is what JBE is pushing for. Don't know if it has actually been done yet or not.

Should've watched JBE's solution. $500MM in tax increases, like $120MM in cuts, TOPS, and BP money are where he plans to get money from
