They didn't do a lot of things but they sure made them better.

All true, but MDI & TDI profit more than all of those combined. Only speaking for the Geismar plant.

What was the point of the comercials, spend money on something you do that nobody knows about, and buy products we don't know you are part of?

Expand their name and brand to companies that use them. Like Ford, GM, Proctor & Gamble, etc, etc, etc. Some of the largest companies in the world. They are the top dog at what they do, and they spare no expense

Looks like a 12% return on equity and less than 6% return on assets. Nothing special by any means.

Well I can only speak for their agricultural department, but they make a few herbicides that are pretty fricking awesome at killing hard to kill weeds.

So there's that.

Honestly tho as a kid and not knowing basf was a plant, I thought they really took everything ever made and upgraded it just from the commercial. Haha

Take it up with them then, they do not borrow money. Payed cash for a $130 million turn around first Q this spring in Geismar. But hey guy, go tell them how to run their business
