That's great to hear. I hope he makes a full recovery.

quote:
"Every day, to us, has been a miracle," he said, explaining doctors weren't optimistic about his son's survival, though, at the end of August, he still clings to life. "He wasn't suppose to live longer than a day. Then he wasn't suppose to live longer than two days. Then five days. Then it became a 21 day forecast."
Tuesday, James Tullier told Shingleton, Nick Tullier responded to doctor's request to move his toes and thumb.
"Nick is cognitively responding to verbal commands," James Tullier said Tuesday. Tullier said a doctor asked his son to give a thumbs up, and "he did."
Nick Tullier was shot in an ambush that left three other law enforcement officers dead in July. Tullier was one of a number of officers who were shot and injured. He is the only surviving officer left in the hospital.

Thanks pimpbot ... Hard for me to do that on the phone.
I've prayed for this man and all of the officers from that days events everyday. It happened on my birthday ... I was so sad for their families and BR and our state.

Probably just fat fingers on mobile.

That's huge news! I've wondered what kind of brain activity was going on. I never saw anything about that.
I'm so sorry his folks' home flooded. My gosh, they didn't need that. Surely, there's an outfit donating time who can help them while they stay with Nick. I hope Nick's home didn't flood.

Yeah the dad has a fb page called Nick Tullier Strong and he updates it daily. It's the first thing I read in the mornings.
He's talked about the head wound and the external healing and always said who knows about internal.
The dad sounds through his posts like maybe his faith wasn't a big deal or priority and it seems that this has really changed; he writes about it well.
The fb page has 33k followers or so. It's amazing.

I also remember someone posting that the last cop car had left the hospital and the poster assumed that Nick had died as a car was supposed to stay until "something happened" with Nick.
Others so said he was dead based on their inside info. So glad they were all wrong.

I read the Facebook page also. The Dad is going on faith every single day. I really hope he recovers at least enough to have a meaningful happy life. He's sure as hell fighting to do it.

Me too. And I'm afraid people have forgotten about him and the others.

I hope not. They have a long road, but the flooding definitely took some attention away.
