I hope you wave at the occasional foamers.

I enjoy taking railroad photos, but I'm not a foamer.

The crews in NW Louisiana are generally cool - sometimes when its hot some water will get tossed our way. This doesn't happen as much - I assume cameras.

Yeah crews don't normally want their faces on videos or pictures.. It doesn't bother me because I'm usually wearing my glasses and ear plugs but I always hang my head out the window and usually holler something..

Depends on the area.. Mostly ours travel 50-60 mph

Depending on how much you work and what job your doing.. Engineers make more than conductors.. Between 70-100+

Depends on how lazy you are.. If you work 6 days in a row you get 2 days off but sometimes you think your going to get 6 days and with you go 24 hours with out working and it starts your starts over or you get called to ride in a van to go back home instead of a train and that reset your starts..

No don't run on that side... But if there's crossing we have to blow unless it's a quiet zone.

Foamers are the people who go nuts over trains, they know more about locomotives that the people working on them.. They follow them and take videos and photos at every location they can... I've seen them with a video camera on a tripod and recording with their cell phone too from a different angle.. They usually put the videos on YouTube.. If I see one out there I write my engine number down and search for it a week later and if I can find it, I show my kids. They usually like that.

Yeah who needs rules! Especially when that car pulls out in front of you and you weren't doing what you were supposed to do.. Then that's your arse..
