dec 21 is the winter solstice and it was dark at 5:05 in south louisiana

so 6:05 pm

It won't work because during some harvests that are grown outside of DST, the extra hour of daylight is burning the crops.

Why do people get so worked up over changing the clock. Sure, it takes time to get used too, but I think we can manage.

It was a dumb idea from the start to assume people couldn't adjust their habits based on times of the year. If the Arizonaians can do it, why can't we? It doesn't even matter to the ~50% of people who don't do anything in this state
