No Freudian slip there. I'm a romantic.

They don't what? They don't do daylight savings or they don't function?
They dont do daylight savings at all.
Op is suggesting doing year round daylight savings.

Yes, absolutely.
It's dumb that we still change our clocks twice a year.

Road construction happens all the time at night.

So that would mean in the middle of December it wouldnt actually get daylight until like 7:30-8?

dec 21 is the winter solstice and it was dark at 5:05 in south louisiana
so 6:05 pm

It won't work because during some harvests that are grown outside of DST, the extra hour of daylight is burning the crops.

Why do people get so worked up over changing the clock. Sure, it takes time to get used too, but I think we can manage.
Posted on 2/27/17 at 10:51 am to BugAC
It was a dumb idea from the start to assume people couldn't adjust their habits based on times of the year. If the Arizonaians can do it, why can't we? It doesn't even matter to the ~50% of people who don't do anything in this state

One good reason not to do it. Especially with global warming.

People enjoy being told what to do by their government.
Posted on 2/27/17 at 11:20 am to BugAC
I say make it 30 minutes and keep it that way.
Posted on 2/27/17 at 11:26 am to BugAC
Only if we are always ON daylight savings time. I like when it is still light out at 8:00-8:30 pm
Posted on 2/27/17 at 11:46 am to BugAC
How will the farmers survive if you change this?
Posted on 2/27/17 at 11:49 am to BugAC
Only b/t Memorial Day and Labor Day. If not, just do as AZ does, not at all.
