I have a buddy who dated a single mom for 4 months and then bam, it went south so fast. Her 9 y/o daughter absolutely sabotaged the relationship. The 12 y/o son loved him. He put up with more shite than humanly possible IMHO. Have any of you dated or married single moms? Just seems really complicated.

I dated a single mom, but I'm a single dad so it was a little easier as I had the same time constraints she did. The major issue, though, was that she was looking for a father for her kid almost immediately. She thought introducing me to her boy just weeks into dating was a good idea and you can imagine how that went. Not good at all. I tried to tell her ahead of time to let things happen naturally, but she insisted and the kid rebelled. It was bad.

Yep it is always nice to find out how long the milf has been single for. If she has been on the market for a while you better look out. She will try and get you to the alter with a quickness. No thanks.

Fiddy good to see you again

My buddy got trapped into a situation with one. She's clingy as hell and calls him non-stop when he's not around. He's too nice to do anything about it too.

After the first two weeks, he was now dealing with two kids and they moved in together after a month

Just went through a two year relationship with one. Up and down like a yo yo bc of her 5 year old daughter.

I have with mixed results but usually they'll put out.

Yes. The kids can be great. But man, when it doesn't work, missing those kids rips you up.

Then there are the exes. Always problems with the exes. Everyone wanting to go back to court and when they do, they want to drag you into it.

It is and it's also a part of life if you're single and in your 30's-40's. I can't find a single woman in my age group that doesn't have kids. On the plus side, most of the kids are a little older and aren't as clingy as small children.

I dated a single mom who was also a hairdresser. my crazy threshold increased a few points over those couple months.

she was still hung up on her ex (not the baby daddy) who was a cop and abused her (or so she said).

God damn, even typing that makes me casty myself

but she was hot and I was young so it was OK at the time

I dated a lot of single moms in the mid eighties. Any girl above 23 that looks good enough to date either has at least one child or is as crazy as a football bat.

The ones who want to appear to be nice girls will wait until the second date to sleep with you. The ones who were married before were all abused and done wrong by the ex husband. No matter what everything is the fault of the ex.

If she spends a lot of time pontificating about the ex, run.

Dated one in college...I think I got lucky. Her Mom said I wouldn't ever leave home and I'd stay with my Mom and advised her to break up with me.

LOL...then stops in Orlando, Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Ft Hood, Camp Beauregard, and NASA Houston, NASA Huntsville, and monthly trips to NASA Kennedy...I don't stay at 'home' much. In fact the only time I've been home was last week for a week...in the last 2 years.

In the years since...followed the drama in her life...brother died, father on drug charges, other brother murdered...mother dead. Her daughter doesnt live with her presently....

It's good when you can see things from the outside looking in.

I dodged some major drama there. whew!
