Kinney town is cool. Not sold on Frisco yet, kids could turn out douchey just like Plano. Like most similar cities, the big suburb schools are decent academically and safe with good sports, just know that your kid may ask you for a civic and gel his hair until he goes to an SEC school/SMU and they reform him.

Hell yes, although cities in Texas are pretty ugly by default.

There is no doubt that Dallas is more aesthetically pleasing than Houston.

Yeah that's the point I was getting at. They're both pretty ugly. I feel like Houston has more greenery. I've spent way more time in Dallas than Houston. I feel like the only green parts of Dallas are Highland Park, University Park, and the Turtle Creek area. Yes there are trees in other parts of the city, but when I think Dallas I think of the color brown.

One of the reasons I like Atlanta- the greenery.

Yeah Atlanta is where I'm from/live so it is my comparison. Both have sort of a burnt look to them in my opinion. I'm sure it is a combination of less trees, sun and flatness.

UH - One turns 4 next month, one is 2 and wife is due next week with 3rd. The biggest draw for me to Houston is proximity to family here in Louisiana. If it weren't for that we'd really consider going back to Atlanta (and I'm not totally taking that off the table). We both love it there and made a lot of great friends while we were there. I want to send our boys to good public schools and i don't think that's going to happen here in BR. Ive read a fair amount about the different areas of houston that have good public schools. I just need to get my wife over there to visit to see if she would even consider it. She's never been to Htown.

I think you'll find this type in Houston and Dallas... It's Tejas we're talking about...

Dallas is snobbier IMO. I also feel this weird current of insecurity running through Dallas which probably explains the 30k millionaires and their put-on snobbery.

If you can't afford to live in Dallas I guess the suburbs are the next best thing.
