Is Baton Rouge going to step up? Tiger Stadium should be overflowing with a Memorial and support....

This isn't a dick measuring contest of who can show more support. Everyone handles this in their own way.

I would assume the memorial is more likely to be held outside of city hall.

It's not a competition to see who loves the police more.

Think Obama comes to town? If so, does he meet with Sterling family? Chambers?

I am sure Kip invited him. If he comes, go to the memorial and that's it. No meeting with Sterling's family or the baiters. Maybe he stays away to avoid the issue.

If Obama comes to BR that's just going to make those officers that have been working OT for a week and a half even more exhausted.

The Dallas metroplex almost has twice the population of the whole state of Louisiana. I doubt we'll come close to matching their support.

If you're going to use DFW Metroplex Population, at least use the BR MSA of 810,000...

But yes, even with the additional 590k, the point still stands that the volume of support is much different in Dallas.

Probably the Centroplex.

Hopefully Obama stays away. The last thing we need is another Dallas lecture (despite the fact that he keeps saying we need to stop saying things for political gain then turns around and says things for political gain).

I never said it was a fricking contest. I lived in Dallas and the bottom line is it is a community where few people who live there are from there...We are a tight knot community who should be able to pull together and show the police and the families who lost loved ones that we care in a huge way. Grow up and quit jumping anyone who wants to help....everything is not about a penis....unless you are 12.

There's a vigil tonight at memorial tower I at LSU I believe.

The Superdome was all blue last night. So was the Governor's mansion.

More vigils are being planned.

Yeah it looked beautiful in blue last night. Smoothie King Center was blue as well.

Hats off to their staff for thinking about it (reprogramming to blue lights) and getting it set up so quickly. Especially since it was on a Sunday.
