Ok, I'm a bit past the 18 -20 year old stage in my life, so I want to ask you fine folks of cruise experiences for the 18-20 year old crowd.
We'll be taking a cruise with my 18 year old nephew along with our somewhat younger kids, <17.
I know cruise ships have strict policies that 18 and up can't go to the "teen" activities, yet the 18 - 20 year olds aren't old enough to go all out with the adults.
So, what did yall do that went on a cruise during this age?
FYI: we're going on either NCL or RC in June.

TIA.

And yes, I already know cruises are trashy for some.

Give them booze and they will leave you alone. Then you can bang this kids aunt all night.

Leave his arse home and give him the money you would've spent on his ticket. He can throw a bomb arse party with $300.

Take any 18-20 year old on any free cruise and if they complain it's not your fault. Tell him to nut up and enjoy the free/new experience. Your job should not be to entertain someone who spends most of their life in their 250 square foot bedroom when you are taking them out of the country.

Maybe allow him a few beers (and even perhaps a decent cigar) if he acts appreciative.

Spring break or summer there will be a good number at that age. The girls will hang out together. So if he's shy it might be tough. The thing about cruises is you make your fun. Go in with a good attitude and have a great time.

Odds are this 18yo will not have a good time, but there is the off chance someone else on that boat brought an 18yo'ish daughter he can try to bang.

18 years olds are allowed in the clubs and allowed to gamble in the casino at least in international waters

I know a lot of the cruise lines have struggled with this demographic. It seems like most of them just want to do their own thing.

I went on a cruise when I was 20. Dad handed me a few beers a day. Went on a snorkeling and beach excursion in Cozumel and got absolutely slammed on margaritas. Went to Dunns River Falls and climbed it. Rode on a bus around Grand Cayman with my grandfather. Smoked Cuban cigars with dad and uncle while passing a few miles away from Cuba, while my uncle who was quite intoxicated screamed obscenities at Fidel.

Oh, and found a 22 year old girl who had a room to herself.
