Crime spreading into good areas: 4 shot in Hollygrove tonight

Four people were shot in Hollygrove at Apple and Monroe streets on Sunday night (May 22), New Orleans police said at about 10 p.m.
Evelynn Cain said she was inside an Apple Street bar, the E&C VIP Lounge, at about 9 p.m. when somebody drove by and fired what sounded like 20 shots. Her boyfriend was among those injured and rushed to the hospital, she said.
E&C Lounge is the Hollygrove's version of the Monkey Hill Bar
If it can happen here it can happen in New Irleans East next!

That said I see a lot of white faces in Hollygrove now. It's gentrifying.
(and a lot of not so rich Tulane and Loyola kids who get hoodwinked not knowing the layout of the city and seeing rent for less than $1k pretty close to school)

Whenever we had fraternity formals in NOLA, I used to just watch the cop cars fly around running Code 3 to God knows what while I stood in my hotel window getting dressed/pregaming. It was always somewhat entertaining to me. Kinda like I was watching shite barely hold together. I've been to most of the major cities in America, and nowhere are the police more active than NOLA. Even NYC had just a lot of standing around.

Sick of reading about Nola and their culcha.let themselves killi each other off. There is no changing their ways. Only if we had a police unit that wasn't to scared to patrol and lower the crime rate. Who could blame them though? It's like trying to tame a wild monkey. Rather lets worry and spend time and money on taking down statues. Nola going Nola. RIP
