I'm cool with the cold weather, I just hope it doesn't rain real hard.

I did cross with a beer last year. Several bunnies, but they only wear the head bands. Full body fur gets the body going.

Yeah, is this the thread where we automatically knock 10-15 minutes off of our time?

16 straight for me. Shooting for 57 minutes.

They also have the infield party at the Fairgrounds and if you registered for the CCC online, you can get discounted tickets and CC is providing transportation. BUT, I can't seem to find where the transportation leaves from and drops back off.

30% chance high 72 low only in the 60s. Should be fine.

I'll be there. Not really sure what to expect... I run a 5k every few months and finish around :24-26... Last time I did a 10k I was in high school for the Cajun Cup...many years ago.. I haven't ran in the last 2 weeks due to working out of town. I guess I'm just shooting for under :55?

Well damn, I wish they would have advertised this a little more. I just cancelled on trying to get a group to go to the infield party.

I used to run long distances a lot. I haven't ran in a couple months. Will running tonight help me, or just make me sore/tired for Saturday? How far should I run tonight/tomorrow?

If you are running 8 minute miles with ease the you can try under :55 but 6 miles at that pace is a long way if your legs aren't used to it.

Our goal is under 55:00 but we are also training for a half marathon in 2 weeks. The crowd alone will still make that goal tough to achieve. It's hard to get a pace going. So many damn people.

Don't know him, so I can't say for sure.
This picture is on the 3rd page of the living section. Article about drinking after running the race. Not really a full bunny suite, but close.
It says this was from 2010.

For those that don't fill up for running it, a good goof off plan is to catch the start, then shortcut through the quarte to Rampart.

Under the Claiborn overpass on Esplanade there is usually a nice little party going on if you want to stop and get your drink on.
Last year Drago's had their firetruck out there and jaeger, beer, margerita shots, etc were being given out. Musicians playing too.
It's def. a good place to take a nice long break.

You are probably good. I ran the rodeo 10k in Houston with no training about 6 weeks ago. Took forever as in 1 hour 7 minutes but I felt fine. Just sore the next day.

Yeah, when Rock N Roll took over the marathon, they weren't going to even give out any beer.
They gave in and ended up giving us 2 cans of MGD55. That was a joke.

CCC, beer is usually Abita and will last for quite a while.
Lines will get long in a hurry, so run fast so you can finish earlier.

Seriously, double fist for your first few trips. After a while though, lots of people start going home and the line shortens up a good deal.

Yeah, usually, it is as much as you want, BUT with new ownership this year, it MIGHT be different

New beer sponsor is Mich Ultra..

Last year was one of the first years that they did not run out of beer.
