Last week, some kids came in the train and did a "show". It was pole dancing and flips. One bounced a hat off his head.

Then asked us for money. It was from the Brooklyn to 33rd St. It was strange.

Yeah try walking by this a-hole after a long, shitty day at work. You'll want to kick his arse.

ETA- but yeah this guy is good

I asked how old the kids were. One was 14. The others were 15 or 16. I couldn't believe their parents let them do that.

Then it made perfect sense.

No parents.

When I was up there for the Super Bowl, some guy walked on our train car and started singing "Lean on Me". It wasnt great. But they had a guy on a guitar at Penn Station who was pretty dang good. I did tip him. Normally some of those people are very talented and it makes you wonder how they got there.

ETA: You can tell the dude on the sax genuinely loves jamming out and is a secret Omega Psi at heart haha Step Show Champ of 03

There are kids in groups that are 8,9,11 that have full time jobs in the the quarter going around hustling money.... one little group I see them making money and then every couple hours their mom will show up to get their money to go smoke crack with it and then leave them out there to make more money.... the oldest one carries a cell phone so their mom can find them to get their money...... It's sad because I hear this one racist drunk telling them their mom is a whore crack head and shite. He gets mad because he says they go on "his" block and makes his money, meaning people give money to them that he tries to beg them for

Some kid was hoping cars on the way to Yankee Stadium with a big bag of fruit snacks and he would be "supporting his basketball team" and selling them for a dollar each. In one stop he sold 10 on my car...no clue how much this kid can make a day.
