Here is another angle. Not to be insensitive but lets look at the context clues. Let's also think down the road. The parents did not share a last name which makes me assume they are not married. Knowing that they are not married it makes me assume that the child was not planned. They are going to get a lot of money out of this. What's going to be interesting is what happens to the money between the two of them. Were they only staying together because of the baby? Just a few thoughts to throw out there.

So you're saying that their marital status is relevant to their baby's death and that they were involved in it for money?...

No. I don't think they had a plan with the doctor to kill the baby. I am just looking down the road under the pretense that the Doctor committed malpractice.

Ok. I just don't see how your logic is working.

My point is that the baby was more than likely unplanned. The parents also look like they were too young to give that kid the best chance possible to be successful. What I think is also interesting is what's going to happen with the money, It's gonna be A LOT of money.

A jury here in Louisville gave a mom a little over a million in a decapitation during delivery case. From the article:

quote:

In closing arguments Thursday, Mathys said they botched Donelson's high-risk pregnancy by improperly placing a cerclage, a string-like device that's looped around the cervix to prevent a premature birth. Mathys said the improper removal of the device when Donelson went into spontaneous labor made it act like a noose around the baby's neck, a claim the defense said their experts deny.

I guess it's not that much money.

How often do you think this happens? I would guess more than you would think.

They have independent claims for pain and suffering so it doesn't really matter if they are together or not.

They have a lot more than that to sue for. The punitive damages alone should be in the millions.

I guess they are a little smarter than I thought. I think that also confirms that the child was not planned. Removing emotion from the situation I would say these two came out on top.
