Cop shoots undercover officer nine times after confusing him with black suspects

He then repositions himself and shoots seven more times despite Grant being white and the two suspects being black - a fact Brachle would have heard on his radio.
Grant, 38, lost 80% of his blood in the shooting and all of his vital organs were shot or injured. He reported additional injuries to his neck, shoulders, arms and hands.
The detective had to undergo multiple surgeries and has been in out of hospital ever since. This week the lawsuit was settled for $6.5million (£4.5million).
The city has also agree to pay Grant's medical expenses for the rest of his life.

This had ZERO to do with the color of any parties involved and everything to do with the shooter breaking every rule and procedure in the operation.
He was late to work, missed the briefing where they described and showed everyone the undercover officer and he didn't coordinate with anyone on scene. He just showed up, went gung-ho cowboy and ran up to the car and yanked a door open. The UC officer was in the car holding the suspects at gunpoint, he saw the gun and lit the guy up.
He retired the week before the report advising he should be fired was released. Now the DA can't decide whether to charge him criminally or not. Totally screwed up but not in any way a racial incident. There are enough of those without the OP trying to make one up.

The fact this was the second time this officer got trigger happy just goes to show he was never suited for this line of work. Just another Dirty Harry wannabe Barney-fife. It also doesn't reflect very good on him that he retires (likely collecting a pension) right before he is to be fired.

Hey a-hole, I didn't say anything in support of the dumb arse that shot the UC officer. I simply pointed out that it wasn't a racial incident. It was a procedural mistake of biblical proportions that was the sole fault of the shooter. He should be fired and prosecuted.
