Conversation with a murderer--your choice

If you were given the opportunity to speak with a convicted murderer of your choice, who would that person be? I'm not talking about an interview or anything you could sell or profit from, but a private conversation where you could ask things like why the person committed the crime and so forth.
I'd choose Stephanie Lazarus, the former L.A.P.D. Detective of the Year, who murdered a rival that married the man Lazarus was in love with.
Would you accept such an offer? And if so, which convicted murderer would you choose to speak with?

I'm almost positive that he was convicted of murder.
He didn't physically commit the murder, but orchestrated it, and was convicted of murder. He even was given the death penalty, which was commuted to life in prison later.

Not convicted. He's the first one that popped into my mind, but I feel like I understand him pretty well and would only use the time to spit in his face.
