A company hired to help New Orleans take down four Confederate monuments has walked away from the job after its employees received death threats and other businesses threatened to cancel their contracts, a city attorney said in court Thursday (Jan. 14).
Rebecca Dietz is defending the city in federal court against a lawsuit from groups that believe taking down the monuments is illegal. She mentioned at Thursday's hearing that a company hired for the job, H&O Investments of Baton Rouge, notified the city it would no longer be performing the work.

The real reason

I'm not surprised. Surely, the advocates for taking down the statues could create enough jobs for this company to make up the potential lost revenue.

Stacy Head is launching an all out assault on this shite. There are anit-abortion signs on city-owned street light on St. Charles. She want them down since we're removing things that are offensive. I like this broad.

Don't condone death threats obviously but the cancelled contracts, welp, that's capitalism working some justice.

I think I'm the only person on earth who never paid any attention to these statues before all this started and don't care one way or another whether they keep them, remove them or whatever.

I'm sure that within the community of folks* who have pushed for the removal of the statues there can be found plenty of people who actually work for a living doing physical labor and can safely and professionally effect the removal process.

It's not the damn statues. It's never been the statues (for me). It's the precedent it sets, and it's a dangerous path to start walking down.
The moment you give ANY ground to these SJW thugs it's like blood in the water to sharks. If you give an inch they'll demand a mile and it will NEVER be enough.

Here's to hoping they can't find anyone but some ghetto shithead to take them down because every reputable company realizes that the people they do business with are not the kinds who want the statues removed.

North & South CAROLINA were named after Charles I of England, (Charles = Carolus in Latin)
Charles I was not a good guy so we need to change the name of those two states.
Ditto for Georgia and George II of England.
Maryland, Virginia & West Virginia get theirs' as well for similar origins.
The origin of Washington State & the District of Columbia?

There's been a massive shift in the mindset of black folks that pretty much everyone it out to get them. I saw an interview a few days ago of a young black women in Flint, Michigan. They're have some public water issues up there and the government is dropping off cases of water to all the residents. She looked in the camera and said no one cares about them because it's a black area. Then they go to other interviews from grocery stores and gas stations and it's all white people.

For myself (and many others im sure), it is solely about the principle of it all. If this shite is allowed to happen, it opens up the floodgates to "what's next". The fact the city chose to go through with this only gives merit to "the statues are racist" and anyone with half a brain knows that the statues don't have shite to do with shite.
