I'm content with my current job, but I feel like I can do so much more. The electronics and avionics programs in the Air Force are very appealing to me. I get this sensation like I'm missing out on something.
I'm thinking about joining the Air Force after working at my job for at least a year.
If anyone knows a person in the military or you are that person, have you ever regretted it or wished it could have been better.
ETA: I still have my job, I'm not letting it go unless I secure something else.

Join the military then become an a-hole cop with a physics background.

Both my father and my father in law are senior military officers, they believe it is the most fulfilling calling one can have

Weren't you the one that just got the engineering job or was that someone else that has been posting for what seems like a year asking for help finding new careers?

1st page . Ah the monthly Volod job thread. Finds a job! already looking for another. You may need the military to help you get your priorities straight. I was in the Air Force and enjoyed my time. Helped me grow Up. This May be where it helps you.
Been on it for like a month

Already fired by the Louisiana DOT? Just when i thought the roads couldn't get any shittier.
I hope you go to some remote base without internet for a while.

What's your background?
Got a degree?
Got anything (criminal record, etc) that'd screw up a security clearance?
Active duty Major in the AF, currently. If I had it to do over again, I'd go navy. But maybe that's just grass-is-greener stuff.
Ask specific questions, get specific answers.

If you feel like its something you need to do, then go for it. Life is too short to regret things later in life.

Have you thought about joining the military?

Life must be real short for him because he's had more jobs and career change ideas than any person I've ever known

Go Navy. Better pay, better advancement, better port calls and duty stations. Submarine and carrier experience speaking, definitely better experience and potential than any other service from what I've heard from my high school classmates
