How long is too long?

In terms of time spent driving?

Anything over an hour-ish for me.

Not sure about miles.

~65 miles, mostly hwy, is the longest I've done and probably my max as far as what I would do. Took about an hour and ten mins if I avoided peak rush hours.

Now I have no commute and that's definitely preferable.

Well it varies.

For example, I'd rather have a 30 minute commute with no traffic vs. a 15 minute commute in gridlock.

I currently have a 25 minute commute, but it's on the metro so I very much enjoy it. I read or people watch for a while and before I know it I'm at my office.

30 minutes is when shite gets annoying.

<25 I'm good. 20 minutes or less is optimum and is the way God intended

It's about to be from my bedroom down the hall to the right. And it will be glorious.

Used to be an hour. Miserable.

I'm doing 61 one way right now. It's only temporary, but the funny thing is it takes me less time to get home in the evening than it did in Baton Rouge. Don't miss sitting in I12 traffic.

Ten minutes round trip. It's exhausting some days.

Anything over 1.5hrs or 3hrs per day. I drove to North BR for 2.5yrs. the morning drive was only 55mins but afternoon 1.5-2hrs in the evening. So this is the reason I give a per day limit.

Mine is two miles each way. With traffic, my commute time doubles to 6 minutes.

Dude, we can't tell you what's too much. I used to make a commute from BR to NOLA. Too much for me. But some people are fine doing that

Mine is the amount of time it takes me to go from my bedroom to my office in the basement. But, on days when I have a few inspections I may be on the road for 6 plus hours

I used to drive about 1 hour 15 minutes one way. Then moved and got it down to 30 minutes. I now work from home. Like the last option much better.

For me it's 45 miles each way. Usually 45 min to get to work for 6 am. If I leave after 3pm though, the traffic on the high rise on I 10 in New Orleans east drives me insane.

15 minute ride from my house in North Knoxville to get to the office in West Knox.

I could add another 15-20 minutes, but wouldn't want to drive more than that now.

I'm looking at a potential promotion. The company will pay relocation if I move but getting the wife to move along with the fact we've had this mortgage less than a year is not ideal. So moving isn't really an option.

The commute would be roughly 80 miles. Some of it would rural interstate driving some would be through Charlotte. I used to do a 45 minutes daily commute so I figured what's another 30ish minutes.

Over 90 mins is killer
