So much for Comcast's proposed merger with Time Warner Cable being good for your internet service.

Hell, I'm shocked we might have five more years.

Fuq these companies for everything.

Honestly, I just hope the Comcast headquarters burns to the ground and takes everyone with it. It has to be the worst corporation in the history of mankind.

Already have this shite in place here in nashville and it sucks.
You get 3 alerts.. For each 10gb over.. Then nothing more...comcast charges $10 for each 10gb over. I had $40 in overages last month due to the fact I wasn't home when the alerts came in..3 fricking alerts in one hour...!!
By the time I got home I was way over the limit.
:inbeforeyoushouldntbeusingsomuchdata:
Eta the cap also runs month to month.. No relation to your billing cycle.. Which makess it even more confusing.

I fricking hate comcast more than any other corporation out there. They are probably the biggest pieces of shite in America, and everything they touch they turn into shite.

Oh and the webpage to actually check usage is buried.. You have to hunt for it.
When they first rolled this out..you couldn't even see your data at all on the website!!
It was 3-4 months before they even added the meter so you could see it yourself.
They would send out nasty emails about overages and point you to a page that didn't exist.
frick u comcast

Damn. I thought cox was bad.

Cox has data caps already. I was warned about it one month, but apparently they don't charge you for it. They just give you a bunch of warnings and suspend your service at some point if you go over your limit several months in row. There's no firm policy in writing about when they take action.
This has been my data usage over the past year:
I really can't remember what was going on in September. I'm guessing I just went on a torrent spree.

I used to think nothing of grabbing tons of 40-50gb BR 1080p movie rips.
Now I can't grab more than 2 or 3 a month......

I've got comcast broadband and no data usage monthly amount, then again I've had it since 2003 when it was time warner before changing to comcast.
