Could there be a sniper on the loose? This is a very desirable part of the state and not far from where a woman had her fetus cut from here stomach not long ago. Those are unrelated, but bizarre stories in an area with low crime.

A woman driving alone southbound on Interstate 25 through Larimer County Wednesday night was hit by a bullet in her neck and wounded as she sat behind the wheel of her car.

The county sheriff's office was called at about 11 p.m. to an area near Windsor on reports of a traffic accident. Deputies instead found that a 20-year-old Milliken woman was on the interstate when the front driver's side window of her vehicle shattered and she was shot.

"She was able to safely stop her vehicle and call 911," the sheriff's office said in a news release. "She was transported to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries."

The shooting was one of four incidents over three days where moving vehicles on northern Colorado roads — two each in Larimer and Weld counties — had windows shattered. Authorities say they are working to determine if the four are connected.

On And, on Thursday afternoon, authorities began investigating a possible fifth incident after a Colorado State Trooper came upon a truck on the side of the road on I-25 in Weld County. The unoccupied vehicle was missing its back window. A spokesman for the Weld County Sheriff's Office said the car was being transported to its crime lab to determine if the window had been shot out.[/quote]

Sad to say, but possibly a pretty good marksman...

Not quite yet, but it seems they are getting better...

One of those situations where she's both really unlucky and really lucky at the same time.
