Sports aside this place absolutely shits on Baton Rouge. Everything is new and clean and I haven't gotten any shite for wearing LSU gear. Definitely gonna have to come out here for an LSU game sometime.
BUT this still doesn't make up for that shithole you Texas people call Beaumont. Had to stay there for a week a couple months ago and it completely changed what I think of Texas.
Also restaurant recommendations would be appreciated

Beaumont definitely sucks. I think the bar scene in CS is underrated compared to the others I've been to in the SEC (BR, Tuscaloosa, Auburn, Oxford) but I'm biased.

We have a few cities that shite on Baton Rougue. San Marcos is cleaner than B.R.
