So I walk into Chase today where I have been a customer for several years now, with a bulldog glass full of change. I counted this very amount in 30 minutes the night before. When I present the change to the teller she begins to put the change in a bag. I say, "Does your machine count weigh this change in a bag?" She turns, "Oh, no sir, we don't count change here, we send it off to be counted."
"...And how long does this take?"
"about...four to six...weeks."
"Four to six weeks to count money!!"
I politely grabbed my change and drove to the nearest Capital One bank, where I was greeted with a machine that counted my money in about thirty seconds. The teller was also kind enough to waive there normal fee of ten percent to non account holders.
Its hard not to describe the lunacy of this very scenario with out the extended passage above...but...
WHAT KIND OF frickING BANK DOES NOT COUNT AMERICAN MONEY IN LESS THAN FOUR WEEKS??????
