Clothes washer won't spin anymore...

My washer will not spin dry anymore. After it rinses/drains, it makes noises as if the motor is running, however nothing is spinning. Has anyone had a similar situation? I'm about 75% sure the motor coupling may need to be replaced from the research I've done online. Any thoughts and how difficult of a repair that would be?

Actually page Napoleon on OT. He is an appliance repair guru.

Its more than likely the motor coupling. I did it on mine a couple of years ago. Pretty cheap fix. Can be useful to have a second set of hands, but overall pretty easy.
Here is a video that could help.

It could also be a lid switch. Which you can replace or bypass.

I hope you fix your washing machine, btw.

Check the specs on the end line rotary girder and get back to me.

I had a problem a month or so ago where it would spin on low but not high. Replaced the Motor Coupling and Clutch Assembly and it spins like new. Got both parts online for under $45 and repair only took under 2 hours.

First thing I'd check for is if you have agitator "clips" for a better word. I used to overload some time and they'd shear off. 2$ part for 4, by extra if that is indeed the culprit.
They are called agitator dogs, I've got 2 packs I'll never use since my new washer doesn't have them.

I have a LG top load without the agitator in the middle. Mine stopped spinning because a out of balance load kept triggering. No matter what amount of clothes I had in it. it would triggered.
Giant bolt on the bottom of the washer spindle had spun loose. It caused the a sensor to drop a inch and not allow it to spin at high speeds. Simply tightened it up and its been working since.

Mine is currently doing something similar, but it won't spin on low. We rarely do small loads, so I haven't messed with it.

This is 100% what it is, it's not hard at all.
