How many of the cyclist haters would vote against having bike lanes?

Or maybe there are roads cyclists shouldn't be riding on.

Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should.

I would love it. I hate riding on roads and would actually rather drive somewhere to find a safer place to ride and deal with the inconvenience.

Theres a Tangi Trace facebook group, which as it turns out is just a wish group for a rail to trail through Tangipahoa. The Tammany Trace is really nice. I wish they'd do something like that in Tangipahoa.

Would that mean cyclists would finally start paying taxes to maintain the road?

I would argue cyclists have more of a right to be on those roads than some jacked up F 250 that takes up 1.5 lanes. You know those assholes never yield to anyone either. At least bikes can fit on the road.

Um, I drive a car. I'm already paying taxes to maintain the roads.

I'm not a cyclist supporter by any stretch, but this is such a silly argument.

How much maintaining does a road need because of bicycles? And while we're asking silly questions, how many cyclists don't have vehicles as well?

Yeah, the biker probably shouldn't have been riding on a busy street with no bike lanes in the first place.

Yea, i like it here for the most part.. Great area to ride a bike. I have logged about 3,000 miles on my bike. Sadly I may never do it again.. Have too much to lose with a two year old and one on the way..

May pick up Mtn biking..

In Louisiana, not many. Most are way too fat to ride a bike.

Would you rather them be in the bike lane or "your" lane?

How often do you use things that your taxes go towards?

I would rather not have taxpayer dollars going to improve bike lanes while the roads I travel on suck arse...and yes I realize that in some instances it would improve the road.

Very dangerous. Take the lane.don't hug the shoulder. If you hug the shoulder cars will always pass you as close as possible...if you take the lane and force them to go around in the other lane it's far safer. They have to deliberately try to hit you.
