What car for under $15K (decent condition) do you think is ready to get hot and start increasing in value? Let's say for cars made pre-1975.

A few I think would be:

Mercury Cougar XR7.

Volvo P1800

Late 60's Buick Riviera

Circa 1970 Gran Torino

What you got? Bring pics with you.

Where are you going to find a decent Cuda for under $15K?

I'm more looking for up and comers. Cudas/Challengers are known to be desireable.

Pre-1975. $15K or less...

My first thought is Ford or GM pickups. Should be able to get a "3" or maybe low "2" for that money.
A 1 is probably well into the $20s.

Can also still get decent Mustangs (71-73) for that money, but they'll be 3's.

That volvo reminds me of a vintage Aston Martin.

I do as well. There are some resto-modded P1800s that look amazing.

It certainly does.. And yet the price tag isn't nearly as eye twitchingly painful

That's the beginning of a super slick car.

An "up and comer" in today's market would be a newer model car than those listed I'd think. The Buick, Merc and the Torino are about to go up in value due to age, but the margin between those and other same year , more desireable cars will always be the same IMHO.

I'd qualify cars as "Up and coming" like late 80's Buick T types and mid 90's vettes. Value in both has doubled in the last ten years.

The cars you listed will definately increase in value, but if they haven't becoma a hot item by now, they aren't..

All this is just my opnion.

Yeah, they are sharp cars. I think BB is gonna have a tough time finding one for $15K.
Non-running dogs are $5K, give or take.

I bet parts for a vintage Swedish car are pretty eye twitching.

You can find decent Mustangs from that era for under 15K. Not great ones, probably won't have matching numbers or be show quality but I have seen some decent ones for under 15K.

You won't touch any Mopar cars for anything close to 15K if they are running and in any type of decent shape.
