Clarification on "lack of educational opportunity" PSA

I just wanted to clarify a few things.
1) My K-12 years were in the Vernon Parish school district. The high school I went to was roughly 60/30 for the white/black students respectively. When I said blacks have the same opportunities, I was basing it on the assumption that the majority of k-12 schools have a similar setup.
2) I also recognize that the standards across institutions vary considerably. My point was that even with lower bars set minorities, there are still blacks who complain about not having options.

Everyone has the option to go to school, work hard, make good grades, and go to college. Not everyone has the same support as others, but if you truly want to succeed in life you can make it work.

It is funny my father grew up in Vermillion Parish to a family that was poor and only learning how to speak Cajun French until he was in first grade. The only thing he ever got for xmas a fruit from the church because his family was poor. During the fall and spring the school was closed so kids could work on the farm. Yes my father picked cotton, pepper plants for tobasco, and worked in rice fields. He learned to speak English, graduated high school, served in the army, and then graduated from the University of Kentucky. I guess he had it easy with all the programs they had for poor people in the 1940's and 1950's.
Meanwhile poor African American John or Jane Doe has the ability to enroll in pre k school for free.
Middle class families have to pay for pre k if they want it.
They have free tutoring along with other programs while such as the free lunch program in manditory daycare (some call it school).
Most middle class families put their kids in private school, some parents work extra jobs or work long hours for this benefit, and they still have time to make sure their kid is active in school.
They have the ability to get other govt services like free or reduced Internet, free lunch program, EBT card which I guess hot dogs & soft drinks& candy are necessary food; or they can go to a neighborhood library which they do have bus service in African American communities.
Middle class pays for Internet service, lunch for their kids, and computers.
Yeah, it seems to me there is a true lack of laziness in some communities to take advantage of the opportunities that are out there.

The opportunities are there and even better for minorities from a societal point of view. More scholarships, more funding at their schools, etc.
