Had a leash on my son, fellow td poster, when he was 2yo. It was the only way we could contain him and he turned out normal.

I'm a shitty parent by OT standards, but I refused to ever put my kids on a leash, even when it would have been helpful.

I think they should be a requirement for children under 6 in restaurants.
