How long did y'all cook them turkey for? We got a 22 lb turkey and the instructions say 10 minutes a lb. when I did the trial on a chicken it came out slightly undercooked. Looking for feedback on your cook times

Updated: did the 10min per lb and it turned out perfect. Almost a little on the overdone side but still good.

I start with ten minutes a pound and use a meat thermometer and start checking

I have a butterball and last year when I cooked the turkey (IIRC) it took about 12 minutes/lb. I had a meat thermomenter in it and tested several places with another one.

22 lbs is a big turkey to cook in it. I've cooked several, 1 today, but they are usually 14-16 lbs.

The one I cooked today took about 2 1/2 hrs

Yeah I didn't know the 16lb rule when I bought the turkey. Going with it and hoping for the best

Thing barely fit in the basket

What kind of cooker are you using and is it sheltered from the wind?

Making sure it was out of the wind was all the advice I had.

I don't think a 22 lb bird wil fit. At least it wouldn't fit in my oil less fryer.

Use the thermometer, when it says turkey is done, it's done, never had a issue with mine. And I've done a bunch....

I did two 20 lb. turkeys in my Big Easy today.

Took about two and a half hours for each one.

Turned out almost perfect.

I bought The Big Easy two months ago. I've been too lazy to take it out of the box and put it together. Is it really as good as people claim that it is? I'm going to try to assemble it this Sunday. I just hope that it is easy to assemble because I'm a moron when it comes to putting things together.

I love mine. Use the hell out of it. Usually do wings in it a few times a month
