no way you would make all that up. so it's real? if someone stole an identity why in da frick would they use your address? I just had my identity (debit card number stolen) it was a sad joke. the bank told me three different things. the Detective was even weird when he called.

Each one of those 100 yuan notes = $15.

I'm a few weeks away from having a 3.5 year old, a 20 month old, and a newborn.

The newborn isn't a direct threat to your home and belongings, but the attention he or she will require is the problem. We had twin 2.5 year olds when our 3rd was born, so I'm speaking from experience.

On going from 2 to 3 kids, in the words of Jim Gaffigan - Imagine you're drowning, and someone hands you a baby.

They didn't, checkbook was sent to an old work address and it just so happened that I kept in touch with the secretary that received it and she called and said I had received something from a bank that looked important. She dropped it off to me and it was checkbook and notification of my new account.

That's what first tipped me off something was up. I'm guessing they assumed it would get received by old employer and tossed, and they would cash out account later before I figured anything out.

They stole my checking account number first. Then, not long after, they stole my debit card number. Could have been different people. I had to close every account I own and start over. It sucks.

Is coloring on the wall or a computer really a sign of shitty parenting?

Yes, in my opinion.

Point I'm making is that these types of things don't oftentimes happen to parents who know where their kids are. One of my sons was NEVER gonna draw on my computer screen, because it would have meant that when they were young enough to do so I allowed them access to my computer AND time enough unsupervised from me for it to happen. Bad things can and do happen when little kids run around unsupervised. This is a variable you either account for, or you don't. But it is largely a choice.

We can debate whether or not that makes a shitty parent, but I'm sure glad that my boys never drew on the walls, covered themselves in butter, covered the house in flour, etc. The fact that stuff didn't happen as not at accident of the universe. It took effort that many don't like to put in.

People that act like they are just unlucky when their unsupervised 3 year old take a lipstick and writes on their white sheets kind of make me laugh.

Yep...not much you can do there. Kids sometimes do spur of the moment shite even if you're watching them.

Slackster will miss the point and suggest I'd say you weren't watching them, though.

ETA: Yep...just saw it! haha

Fair enough. I disagree, but to each their own.

this is why I keep all shite like this up high and locked away from my 2 yo. My wife gave him a sticker book to play with when they were driving home from my in laws one time. I took me about an hour to get all the stickers off the back windows and door as he made sure they were nice and flat.

While buckled into his car seat?

Hmmmm.

If you keep in line like a drill sergeant until they are a teenager, wait till they get out of the house unsupervised. That's the ones you really have to watch out for because they go butt fricking crazy as soon as they are out of sight. Kinda like the preacher's daughter thing

Really neatly cut too. Too neatly.

FWIW, 100 yuan = $15.
