Seems pretty straight forward. I wonder how long it takes to get in the black on the investment/energy savings.

Keep the power on so you can see what you're doing.

My uncle just redid his entire office with led's. He said it cost him 5k but would pay for itself in 10 months. Not sure I believe that, but that's what he said.

Probably about a 4k square foot Drs office, fwiw

If they are t5 or t8 bulbs, you can buy this product and not have to mess with the ballasts.

the bulb replacements only have a 5 year warranty, the complete conversion im looking at has a 10 year/100 thousand hour warranty. not exactly the same thing.

And the led's suck and give you a headache and make a terrible glare on everything.

Hi Mr. Deco. Do you like your lighting company?

That video is stupid. Why not just remove the ballast? Seems redundant.

Who gave you permission to do this?

Our office just switched to LED. They look terrific. We did have to swap out each ballast though. There is a grant we got for switching out that covered most cost. You should look into that.

Do you have a link to the grant?

I do not. Our purchasing department handled it. I will find out from them and bump this thread with it.

A lot of bad advice and misinformation in this thread. Contact your local electrical supply and actually talk to someone who knows about this stuff.

Don't buy that retrofit bullshite. Just got done having them swapped out for bunch medical offices and clinics. Hire a pro and do the fixtures.

Every city/state is different with incentives so youll need to look that up. We didn't get a grant but are going to get the money back on the bills.

What type did you just have swapped out? Are you saying you swapped the retro builds to something else? What did you finally go with?
