This. It was amazing to me that they had people with the title of COO of different divisions never having had operational experience AT ALL. The environmental group had a bunch of half rate lawyers running the show who wouldn't know how to operate a Lucky Dog stand. They made money through fancy marketing and making people believe they were who they weren't. Brown and Root will be the same.
I used to be in environmental and lost a major client because of corporate involvement. Bevan didn't know where he was 90% of the time and Jenkins is a little snake in the grass.

That's what the press releases said. That Bernhard dude making them deals.

I think everyone in this city feels the same way. I probably know you. I was in environmental too. 95% of the people at that place were just big ole pieces of shite. It comes from the top down...

Bevan came out to our job site once. He had 10 handlers trying to explain to him how soil sampling works

They are going hard after industrial heavy construction and turnaround work in this region. In addition to building that bad arse pipe fab shop (Epic Piping) they are buying other companies and "stealing" higher level employees from their competitors
Why all the downvotes? This is the truth...

Anytime a company grows as fast as Shaw did, I think it is natural to have some questions about it
This. There are not enough competent people in this world to run a company that size without being filled with a bunch of clueless overpaid jackasses.

Just another big consulting firm that's so big that it depends on multi-million dollar contracts in order to meet its yearly financial plan.
It's a financial house of cards that results in a series of layoffs and/or sale of the company.

Are Shaw 2.0 employees allowed to ride the elevator with Bernhard?
Posted on 8/25/16 at 5:26 pm to PhilemonThomas
I was told a bunch of people split from shaw/plant services to go to Brown and Root. And people stayed behind with plant services to work for CB&I.
I've had dealings with CB&I and they are hard to deal with to say it lightly.

e. They would include in their revenue contracts that were signed but the work may have never materialized.
This is one of the reasons Enron imploded. Companies are supposed to change the value of the asset (contract) based on the perceived market value.

They also have that huge nuclear fab shop out on Lincoln Rd in south Lake Charles.
This fab shop is one of the reasons they lost the nuke jobs.

It's so pathetic that the security guards used to hold the elevators for him so he could ride alone.

So when did you get fired from Shaw?
Posted on 8/25/16 at 8:18 pm to CajunCommander
