Everytime I'm driving on I-10 heading west from BR to Lake Charles, I see at least 5 different cars towing one or two others. Anybody know why this is?

Yes, because people are towing cars.

People need to move a car that isn't running from one place to another?

I always wonder between the sad state of most of the vehicles to the gas, food, lodging, pay, etc. that has to be shelled out, how those people manage to make any profit off those things.

Cars in tow to Mexico. They can fix shite there Americans don't want to be bothered with. Hell they can repair a transmission on the roadside. They buy cars without clear titles.

It's a different game these days now that they can only import models 10 years prior to the current year.

It's usually still cheaper than buying a car there and they will make those things run for 30 years. It's the same here in Africa. It's cheaper to buy a used car and have it shipped over than buy local. I was driving behind a car here in Cameroon one day that had a Price LeBlanc emblem on it. I couldn't believe it.

Coming back from the beach in Florida for vacation we saw this constantly. So there's some pipeline running from that area at least.
