Cardell Hayes, the man accused of murdering former Saints player Will Smith, was indicted Thursday (April 28) on a charge of second-degree murder. A New Orleans grand jury also indicted him in attempted murder of Smith's wife, Racquel, of aggravated criminal damage to a vehicle and on another charge of aggravated assault.
The indictment came during probable cause hearing scheduled at the same time, as witnesses called by the defense testified about the April 9 double shooting.

It's amazing how fast a case can get through the legal system if they actually put forth effort and don't pussy foot around per usual
