car needs an allignment? get outta here

so.......while I'm offshore, my aunt brings my daughter's car to a dealership for me. it has a recall on the window motor. nevertheless, she calls to let me know that they told her that it needs an alignment for 70.00. I told her to tell them to get fricked. who in the hell puts a car on the rack to test for an alignment when the car was brought there to fix the window motor?

you can look at the tread on tires and tell. If she had metal hanging out on the inside of the tire where she couldn't see it and they didn't let her know they would be bad mechanics. Probably trying to save her the expense of buying new tires prematurely.

I once took my F-150 to the Firestone in downtown Baton Rouge for an oil change (I had a coupon). When I went back a few hours later they were just finishing it up. They spent that time going over the truck like I was trying to win Pebble Beach. The estimate to fix everything was $2400.
