Bought the kid a custom box with two 12" Kicker subwoofers. What is your suggestion for an amp to push this setup?

If it's just the normal comps..

Honestly just get a Kicker Mono D-series amp.. they run about 200ish you should be just fine

I like jl audio or alpine amps. Get the bass model with no less than 500 watts rms. Best I can do without knowing the speakers. Gtg back to work now. Hope this helps.

Kids still enjoy thumpin bass? A Rockford Fosgate Punch P300X2 would probably be plenty of power.

Since its just for a teen i would go rockford or soundstream. No reason for anything more expinensive. Make sure your load (ohms) will match though

Would be for you to return the custom box & speakers and buy him a couple guitar lessons. Why play it when you can make it.
