I tried calling the post office but no answer, so was hoping someone on the OT may know.

Tracking shows package is at my post office as it arrived there this morning. I assume it will make it onto the truck tomorrow.
I'd like to swing by post office and pick up this package today if possible.
Any ideas on if I can do this?

Unless you live in a town of like 40 people where shite like this is still possible, I doubt it.

do it very early in the morning. Do it before it gets put on delivery.

Same for ups/fedex

possible, but you need to go in close to closing time -- the smaller the post office, the greater the likelihood of success

It's a gift for the godchild that has already been "delivered" once but the USPS lost it. This is the replacement shipment. I'm trying to get it so I can then wrap it and send it to her before Christmas.
Figured it's worth a shot.

My post office has a sign that says they won't hand mail across the counter unless you have a PO box key. You could try, but don't be surprised if they won't do it.

I won't be surprised if they say no. I'll give it a shot.

If you get it tomorrow, I'm sure you can still get it to her by Christmas.
