tl;dr version:

Working in Houston in Exploration & Production (upstream)

I've got some family shite going on and may need to move back home and want to start looking at my options.

Anybody got anyone they can recommend?

I'm not sure if anyone is hiring in Upstream Oil & Gas right now…a lot of folks are lucky to still have their job.

Yeah. Well aware of the market downturns.

Mainly I'm just looking to establish some connections for potential future opportunities

1. Get on linkedin and build out complete profile
2. Start networking with people you know at home in linkedin
3. Start networking with the recruiters linked to your friends
4. ????
5. Profit.

What discipline? Not much on the PE side in BR. Only one Reservoir firm that I know off in BR. Rest in Covington/New Orleans.
